Moveable Feast is
an annual fundraising event for the benefit of Historic
Albany
Foundation, a non-profit membership organization incorporated in 1974
to promote the appreciation and preservation of Albany’s remarkable
historic buildings and neighborhoods. The Foundation offers educational
programs, provides technical assistance, leads advocacy efforts and
operates the Architectural Parts Warehouse.
Event Description:
Historic Albany Foundation's "A
Moveable Feast"
event is our largest and most- anticipated fundraiser of the year. The
event
raises money and awareness for Albany's unique and beautiful historic
architecture. It is attended by approximately 300-325 guests. The event
begins
with a cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres, & silent auction
held at a
large-scale historic venue. Guests are randomly assigned to a host home
somewhere in the city for a gourmet dinner with other unknown guests.
They do
not know this location until the night of the event, which adds to the
excitement and anticipation! After dinner, all of the attendees return
to the
first original venue to enjoy coffee, dessert, and the close of the
silent
auction to support the architectural heritage of Albany. All of the
proceeds
from our event support the mission and goals of Historic Albany
Foundation, to
promote the preservation and appreciation of the built environment.
