Albany's Preservation Pledge
For the Third Millennium
In recognition of Albany as a great American historic city, stretching from the pre-colonial settlements along the Hudson River to the ancient pine barrens of the Albany Pine Bush, we hereby commit through our energies and actions in the public and private sector to actively protect and use Albany’s historic, cultural and natural resources to produce a vibrant economy.
Working together, we, the undersigned will help make our city

This Preservation Pledge includes but is not limited to the following types of preservation and environmental enhancement activities:
promotion of the attractiveness of city living and protection of the character of Albany’s residential neighborhoods, uptown and downtown
