Notable Features of the Building

Statistics:

• Interior length is 180 feet
• Interior width is 68 feet (nave), 100 feet (transept)
• There are 14,350 square feet of interior space
• Highest interior point is 85 feet
• Small towers are 130 feet high
• Large tower is 235 feet high

Materials:

• Building is Crone Elbow bluestone, detailing is Ohio sandstone
• Floors are marble from Vermont and Italy
• Chapel floors have Minton encaustic mosaic tile from London
• Roofs are slate, ridged with iron crest
• Former heating tunnels are available for mechanical support systems
• There are 16 stained glass windows
• Columns are monolithic marble
• Hammerbeam ceiling is finished with 31 woodcarved crowned cherubim
• A peal of Meneeley bells is installed in the main tower
