How can you support Historic Albany Foundation?

There are many ways to get involved and support Historic Albany Foundation.

Become a Volunteer

Three HAF volunteers stand for selfie in front of building.

HAF has a large corps of volunteers that we rely on to help us do all that we do including special events and programs, planning committees, our Architectural Salvage Warehouse, the Tool Lending Library and more! To find out more about current volunteer needs and opportunities, and how we can best use your talents, please email info@historic-abany.org and put VOLUNTEEER in the subject line.

Financial Support

Membership

Historic Albany Foundation is first and foremost a volunteer based advocacy organization. Annual membership benefits include 20% all sales in the Warehouse, discounted admission and ticket prices to all events and programs, behind the scenes tours and more. Visit the membership page to learn more about how you can become a member.

Sponsorship (Corporate and Individual)

HAF has a calendar full of events and programs that can be sponsored including our 50th Anniversary Gala in May and Built, our annual art auction taking place in November. In addition, we have a full slate of tours, programs and lectures that round out the year’s offerings. For more information, please see our 2024 Sponsorship Package or visit our sponsorship page.

Annual Fund

Each year HAF raises unrestricted funds to support our general operations – literally keeping the lights on. These unrestricted funds are used to help our dedicated staff carry out our mission on a daily basis. To make an unrestricted donation, please visit our donation page.

Endowment

HAF bike tour participants stop in front of 48 Hudson Ave.

As in most organizations, HAF’s endowment fund, administered by the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, is to ensure a healthy and vibrant future for the organization, and ours is no exception. The funds grow annually and the interest is reinvested for future use. The endowment funds can accept both gifts of cash and stock. If interested in the endowment fund as a giving option, please contact our Executive Director, Pamela Howard at 518-465-0876 or phoward@historic-alabany.org.

Planned Giving

Just as with our endowment funds, Historic Albany Foundation has created the Marcus T. Reynolds Society for Planned Giving to ensure a legacy of financial health for the future of the organization. If you would like to discuss including Historic Albany Foundation in your estate planning, please contact our Executive Director, Pamela Howard at 518-465-0876 or phoward@historic-alabany.org.

The Van Ostrande Radlif House – 48 Hudson Avenue

There are several ways to support the restoration of the oldest house in Albany, built in 1728, including donations as well as investing via the sale of Historic Tax Credits. For additional information on this project, visit the 48 Hudson page.
