This year we will once again hold BUILT at the restored Argus Hotel on Thurlow Terrace in Albany. This beautiful boutique hotel sits on Washington Park and features an event space and cocktail bar. The opening will take place from Thursday, November 2nd and the event will run until Sunday, November 5th.
Half for HAF!
If you would like to book a room to stay at The Argus during the event, the Hotel has generously decided to donate 50% of the room rate for the weekend.
If you are an artist and your work does not sell, please be prepared to pick up the artwork from The Argus Hotel on Tuesday 7th between 10am and 6pm. HAF staff will only notify you on Monday 6th if your piece has NOT been sold, you can also check on the bidding site. Please note that HAF cannot be responsible for any damages to artwork that is transported after the event.

Please note all bidding will be done online - bidding time TBA. Winners - if you have won your bid we should have notified you via email. Please check your bidding profile to see if you have won. Pick up for the pieces will be announced later, but will be at the Argus Hotel (8 Thurow Terrace, Albany).
What is BUILT?
Each year Historic Albany Foundation welcomes artists from all over to join in celebrating our region’s unique architecture at a silent auction and art show. We invite our guests to bid on up to 200 pieces of architecturally themed art - from paintings to photographs, sculpture to jewelry. Our artists come from all backgrounds and experiences, including renowned professionals, passionate hobbyists, and undiscovered talent.
Who Can Submit?
BUILT is a juried show open to everyone, whatever your experience! Whether you enjoy photography, using salvage to create something unique, painting, sculpture, sketching or mixed media, we would be overjoyed to see your work in BUILT. All artists are eligible to submit up to TWO pieces (one of which may be a professional print/reproduction). If you want to know more about BUILT please email here.

Please note - all art must speak to the built environment of the Capital Region (buildings, architecture, bridges etc.) OR be constructed using salvaged material. Pieces will unfortunately not be accepted if they do not adhere to these rules. Artists receive 50% of the price sold with the remainder being donated to support Historic Albany Foundation. There are also a variety of additional monetary awards available.
