2026 Book Club
Thursday March 19th at 6pm will be the Zoom discussion on the HAF book club choice Architects of an American Landscape: Henry Hobson Richardson, Frederick Law Olmsted, and the Reimagining of America's Public and Private Spaces, By Hugh Howard. Link will be shared soon.
In partnership with our friends at the NYS Writers Institute, Paul Grondahl will once again be the moderator.
In this vivid and deeply researched account, Hugh Howard uncovers how two remarkable innovators crafted the first truly American languages of architecture and landscape. Their influence still echoes through the buildings we inhabit and the public spaces we cherish. Many of Richardson's works can be seen right here in Albany including the NYS Capitol and City Hall.
