do.co,mo.mo Tour Day: Mid-Century Modern Architecture in Albany (Oct 12th 10am-12pm)

Starting Location: Corner of Cortland Street & Milner Ave

Join Historic Albany and Lorraine Weiss for a walking tour of Albany’s Mid-Century Modern neighborhood around Buckingham Pond. This eclectic neighborhood sprouted roughly between 1941 and 1960 as the upper middle class desired a more suburban and contemporary lifestyle. Albany architects Henry Blatner and Leon Einhorn filled in the gaps between the brick and clapboard clad Colonial Revivals with strikingly modern Ranch style houses.  The neighborhood is the most modern in style of all of Albany’s diverse neighborhoods.

Join Historic Albany Foundation, Ten Broeck Mansion and The Original Albany Ghost Tour for a paranormal pub crawl like you’ve never experienced before - a haunted, historic tour starting at Ten Broeck Mansion and working its way through popular watering holes of Downtown Albany! Learn all about the local ghostly goings-on whilst having a delicious tipple or two, led by our expert guides. Tour-goers receive Happy Hour prices at all locations.

Please reserve early - these tours sell out quickly!

**If you are attending tours on the 10TH OF OCTOBER the tour may run a little behind due to an event at The Palace. Parking may also be more difficult (see below for parking tips)**

Parking Tips

Please be aware the tour will start at Ten Broeck and finish at Olde English Pub, so you may want to park closer to the end location or somewhere between to save having to walk back to the mansion post-tour.

We ask tour-goers to be cognisent of parking rules if you choose to park on the street. There is plenty of parking available at Ten Broeck & you can also use the Quackenbush Lot behind Pump Station.

To get the member price, please call us on 518-465-0876 for the code.
