48 Hudson Ave is NOW out to Bid!!

It's official! We are out to bid on the stabilization project at 48 Hudson! Yay! What stabilization project you may ask? HAF is reconstructing the south and east foundation wall (they were removed as the building expanded in the 19th century) and restoring the canonical Dutch H-Bent framing. This work has been funded by a generous matching Environmental Protection Fund grant from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. It has also been awarded an Endangered Property Intervention Program loan from the Preservation League of New York State to help carry the construction costs.

This is the first two phases of a five phase project to stabilize the building and restore the front facade so that the Van Ostrande-Radliff House will once again appear like the Dutch building it is.

Information on the bidding process can be found on our website at www.historic-albany.org/stabilization-bid.

Be on the look out for hard hat tours once we are under construction. In the mean time, you can check out the interior of the building as it is today on our website via a virtual tour developed for Historic Albany by Hudson Reality Capture. Take a tour: www.historic-albany.org/48virtualtour
