Workshops are a great way to learn hands-on preservation skills & pick the brains of the experts. We put on a variety of workshops throughout the year, from window and door repair to jewelry.

New workshops are announced regularly & will be listed on this page and our online calendar

 Rewiring Workshop

Join Historic Albany and Matt Chase (of JFF Electrical and Construction LLC) for a hands-on workshop on how to rewire a lamp.

Matt will guide attendees through the process while discussing the tools and materials you need, as well as common pitfalls and things to watch out for.

All re-wiring materials and tools will be provided, just BYOL (bring your own lamp) or rewire your new must-have fixture from our Architectural Parts Warehouse.

Don’t have a lighting project, but want to learn anyway? We’ve got lamps you can work with.

In addition, the Warehouse will be running a 15% discount on all lighting that day!

Call 518-465-0876 or email info@historic-albany.org to reserve your place!
