MEMBERSHIP, PROGRAMMING AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Historic Albany Foundation (HAF) is seeking a detail oriented, outgoing individual to fill the position of Membership, Programming and Outreach Coordinator. This position is the front line customer service person for the organization. This part time (32 hour) position encompasses communications including social media, press releases, web updating and weekly newsletters, as well as oversight of public education programming and membership program. This position requires strong integration skills with all aspects of HAF programs and events including web, social media, external communications and calendar deadlines. In addition, this position is responsible for all event and program RSVPs. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and as part of a small office team.

Job Description
The Membership, Programming & Outreach Coordinator oversees all aspects of the Historic Albany Foundation’s (“HAF”) membership and outreach initiatives, as well as creates and schedules programs for HAF members and prospective members.  This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with members of the Board of Directors, volunteers, committees, and staff.  

Qualifications
The potential Coordinator must possess exceptional customer services skills and exemplary writing, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Skills with graphic software, Squarespace and spreadsheets preferred.  The Coordinator must also be able to balance numerous competing priorities and work as an integrated member of a flexible team.  An interest in or understanding of historic preservation, history, and/or urban planning would be preferred, but not mandatory. A bachelor’s degree and experience working with non-profit organizations is also preferred.
